As a Planning Administrative Assistant, you will be instrumental in coordinating and scheduling activities for operational teams, managing the entire lifecycle of permits and notices, and serving as a key point of contact for field teams. You will leverage your strong organizational skills and experience in a fast-paced environment to make quick, informed decisions and ensure projects run smoothly from initiation to completion. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule activities for operational teams using digital systems.

  • Keep records accurate and up to date, and provide regular progress reports.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for field teams, handling inquiries and providing support.

  • Manage and submit applications for Traffic Management, footway and road closures, and permits.

  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion, including raising, monitoring, and closing all necessary permits and notices.

  • Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.

  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Utilize strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities.

  • Maintain a customer-first approach to all aspects of your work.

Qualifications

Experience Level:
This role is ideal for a professional with previous experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, demonstrating the ability to make quick and informed decisions.

Education Requirement:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional qualifications in administration or business highly beneficial.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in a fast-moving environment where you’ve had to make quick, informed decisions.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Confidence using computer systems.

  • A customer-first approach to your work.

  • Experience in the engineering or utilities sector is desirable, but not essential.
