Aqua Tech Recruitment, a specialist in Engineering recruitment, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Finance/Administrative Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh. This permanent, part-time role offers a flexible working pattern of 4 or 5 days, providing a vital opportunity to support our core finance and administrative functions.
As a Finance/Administrative Assistant, you will be instrumental in managing a wide range of financial tasks, from processing invoices in Xero to managing timesheets and credit control. You will leverage your strong organisational skills and experience in a finance or administrative role to ensure all records are accurate and up to date. Duties and Responsibilities

Process sales and purchase invoices in Xero, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.

Conduct supplier statement reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies.

Set up new suppliers and customers in Xero, maintaining meticulous records.

Manage and coordinate timesheet management, ensuring timely submission and processing.

Request and input invoices from umbrella companies.

Raise purchase orders and track them from initiation to completion.

Chase and input contractor invoices, ensuring all records are accurate.

Oversee credit control and payment tracking, ensuring timely payments are made and received.

Support weekly and monthly payroll processing, assisting with new start forms, holiday, and absence tracking.

Provide general administrative support to the team as needed.

Provide holiday cover for other team members as required.
Qualifications
Experience Level: This is an ideal role for a professional with a proven background in a finance, accounts, or administrative position.
Education Requirement: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional qualifications in finance or administration being a distinct advantage.

Strong MS Office skills

Xero experience is essential; QuickBooks experience is a bonus

Salary and Benefits
