Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Workday Adaptive Planning, including proficiency in system integrations, infrastructure, and business requirements gathering.
  • Lead the construction and deployment of complex financial models directly through Adaptive.
  • Act as a crucial liaison between financial/operational users, technical consultants, Financial Systems & HRIS teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Implement and manage Adaptive changes precisely based on the evolving needs of FP&A, operational finance, and controllership.
  • Drive innovation by brainstorming and ideating new Adaptive ideas for automation and efficiencies.
  • Perform comprehensive Adaptive administration, including security ownership, version/calculated account maintenance, report/dashboard design, worksheet design/creation, and managing system/metadata integrations.
  • Proactively research and discover system issues within the Adaptive environment, proposing and implementing solutions.
  • Maintain direct contact with Workday and 3rd party Adaptive consultants for technical support and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Advise and lead training sessions on effective Adaptive uses and tools for end-users and power users.
  • Provide support for technical design decisions, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture.
  • Apply a strong understanding of financial reporting, data governance, and integration processes.
  • Effectively interact with internal clients, accurately assess business challenges, and define robust solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level (minimum 5 years systems management, 3+ years financial systems support, 2+ years Adaptive Planning, 3 years Workday experience required).
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Financial field.
  • Required Skills:
    • Subject matter expertise in Workday Adaptive Planning, including system integrations, infrastructure, and business requirements gathering.
    • Proven experience in the construction and deployment of complex financial models through Adaptive.
    • Demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between financial/operational users, technical consultants, Financial Systems & HRIS teams.
    • Experience making Adaptive changes based on FP&A, operational finance, and controllership needs.
    • Skilled in brainstorming and ideating new Adaptive ideas for automation and efficiencies.

    • Experience working in a Workday Platform environment (HCM and/or Financials) with a good understanding of Workday’s architecture.
    • Ability to support technical design decisions.
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting, data governance, and integration processes.
    • Ability to interact with internal clients, assess business challenges, and define solutions.
