Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities of the shift planning team in the meticulous execution of logistics and planning processes.
  • Take full accountability for team or department results, ensuring targets are met with high accuracy.
  • Coordinate cross-sector improvement projects, fostering collaboration across various departments.
  • Develop and coach competencies within the team, fostering professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Set clear priorities for team activities, aligning them with overarching factory and company goals.
  • Realize the effective execution of plans drafted by higher management, translating strategy into action.
  • Explain and convince internal/external parties about chosen solutions based on content-driven arguments, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Evaluate work processes continuously and initiate/implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Possess a deep understanding and interpretation of customer demand and factory constraints to optimize planning.
  • Supervise the work of subordinates, setting clear goals, defining development actions, and monitoring KPIs.
  • Maintain regular 1:1 meetings with team members, providing support and feedback.
  • Manage cross-sector escalations, resolving issues efficiently to minimize disruption.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of Supply Chain Management/Planning Systems to proactively manage material availability risks.
  • Apply a Bachelor’s degree as a foundational requirement for all planning and leadership duties.
  • Utilize people leadership experience to motivate and guide the team.
  • Possess minimum 2 years hands-on knowledge and/or experience with Logistic processes and procedures.
  • Leverage experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system for planning and data management.
  • Possess insight into processes of relevant departments (Manufacturing & Logistics, Material Planning, D&E, Procurement, Finance, Customer Support, Production Engineering).
  • Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact professionally with others.
  • Possess the ability to learn and apply new information or skills quickly.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents accurately.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Complete assignments with exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level (Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on logistics/planning, plus people leadership experience; 3-5 years managing factory planners preferred).
