Job Overview
Gi Group, a global leader in recruitment solutions, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead operations for our client in the offshore wind industry. This contract role offers the opportunity to oversee the management of major components, tools, and specialised equipment, ensuring seamless supply chain and warehouse efficiency.

From operating heavy-duty forklifts and gantry cranes to maintaining accurate SAP inventory systems, you will play a vital role in supporting offshore wind operations. Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all warehouse activities for major components, tools, and associated equipment.

Carry out or oversee routine maintenance and condition checks on equipment.

Operate and supervise use of a 50 Ton mobile gantry crane and heavy-duty forklifts.

Maintain SAP Material Management or equivalent inventory systems with accuracy.

Assist with warehouse layout setup and process improvements.

Liaise with the Major Corrective Team and Supply Chain Manager to coordinate operations.

Monitor tooling and equipment lifecycles, arranging replacements or repairs as needed.

Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.

Plan and coordinate inbound/outbound shipments to optimise logistics.

Prepare for audits, inspections, and readiness reviews.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes.

Produce reports and track KPIs for inventory accuracy, downtime, logistics, and compliance.
Qualifications
Experience Level: Mid- to Senior-Level management role requiring proven warehouse operations and leadership experience.
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications advantageous).
Essential Skills & Experience:

Fork Truck & Gantry Crane operator experience.

Slinger & Banksman qualifications.

Minor maintenance experience.

SAP Material Management proficiency.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Technical understanding of heavy equipment handling.

Advantageous:

Licences for 5 Ton & 16 Ton forklifts and 50 Ton gantry crane (training can be provided).
