Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform thorough, accurate, and consistent inspections of vehicles at various dealership locations or other designated sites.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of automobile body, paint, and mechanical repair to identify and report existing or potential issues accurately.
• Utilize proprietary system capabilities, relevant software, and web-based applications to meticulously document vehicle conditions, including detailed notes, high-quality photographs, and videos.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with dealership staff and clients.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving aptitude to navigate and address unexpected situations encountered during inspections.
• Work independently to manage assigned inspection routes and schedules efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate seamlessly as part of a broader teamwork structure, providing timely updates and contributing to shared knowledge.
• Maintain excellent communication with supervisors and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.
• Drive vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions safely and proficiently for inspection and movement purposes.
• Exhibit a strong vision for identifying small defects, meticulously noticing even minute imperfections or issues.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and inspection standards to ensure consistent and reliable reporting.
• Ensure all inspection reports are submitted promptly and accurately through the digital platform.

Qualifications

• Experience Level: Entry-Level to Mid-Level (1+ year experience).
• Education Requirement: Not specified, but ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
• Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 1+ year experience in the automobile field (including body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge) with a customer service background.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude for meeting challenges with resourcefulness.
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for understanding customer needs and conveying information clearly.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

  • Knowledge of system capabilities, relevant software, and web-based applications pertinent to the role.

Working Conditions

This is a Full-time, field-based position operating out of Chula Vista, CA, United States. A significant portion of your time will be spent on the road, traveling to various dealership lots or other designated locations to perform vehicle inspections. You will utilize your personal validly registered and insured motor vehicle for transportation. The role requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods, adapting to varying weather conditions. You’ll be regularly using mobile devices and proprietary software to document vehicle conditions, capture media, and submit reports. While you will often work independently, you will also be part of a larger team, collaborating remotely. Work hours typically align with standard business operations, with some flexibility potentially required to accommodate client schedules.
