Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive the full sales cycle to build new business by identifying, prospecting, and onboarding new dealerships to the ACV Auctions platform.
  • Provide exceptional account servicing, maintaining strong, long-term relationships with existing dealers and dealer groups through regular in-person and over the phone interactions.
  • Leverage comprehensive auction knowledge (strongly preferred) to educate dealers on the benefits and mechanics of the ACV digital marketplace.
  • Apply a deep understanding of the retail/wholesale marketplace in an operational context to effectively consult with dealer partners.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for your assigned territory to maximize market penetration and achieve sales targets.
  • Utilize a CRM (preferably Salesforce) for sales pipeline management, accurately tracking all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals, contributing directly to the company’s revenue growth.
  • Build robust relationship-building skills with dealers and dealer groups, fostering loyalty and trust.
  • Engage in strategic conversations with dealers, leveraging your understanding of internal and external networks to increase personal effectiveness and expand ACV’s reach.
  • Proactively manage your territory, adapting to shifting priorities and market changes.
  • Provide thorough product education to dealers, ensuring they are proficient in using all ACV platform features.
  • Accurately handle forecasting and reporting business activity within your territory.
  • Employ a consultative selling approach, understanding dealer challenges and offering solutions that drive their success.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive support and problem-solving.
  • Lead proactive marketing efforts within your territory to increase brand awareness and adoption.
  • Demonstrate financial accountability for your book of business, managing expenses and contributing to territory profitability.
  • Provide day-to-day management of Vehicle Condition Inspectors and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) within your territory, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Be on the road every day, traveling to both existing and prospect dealerships within your assigned territory.
  • Travel for internal meetings, training, etc., as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level (based on the 5+ years of required dealership experience).
