As a Team Leader in Training, you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences while learning the ins and outs of restaurant operations. You’ll support the shift leadership team, help train new team members, and ensure each shift runs smoothly. Whether you’re managing the front line or assisting in back-of-house operations, you’ll gain valuable experience in food service leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities

Support shift operations by leading team members and ensuring smooth, efficient service

Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally

Operate cash registers accurately and perform basic administrative tasks such as cash handling and incident reporting

Assist in onboarding and training new team members according to company procedures

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency with brand expectations

Communicate clearly with team members and management to support teamwork and daily goals

Lift and transport supplies, food items, or equipment up to 50 lbs as needed

Perform opening and closing duties and follow checklists to ensure shift readiness
Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of restaurant experience, preferably in a quick-service or fast-casual setting

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Strong customer service mindset with the ability to lead by example

Comfortable using a cash register and performing basic math calculations

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to train and coach others in a positive and constructive way

Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures

Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and remain active on your feet during shifts

Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
