Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and business clients, ensuring full compliance and accuracy.

Develop and execute strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize client tax positions and minimize liabilities.

Identify tax risks and design mitigation strategies to protect clients and the firm.

Lead, mentor, and manage the tax team to promote efficiency, quality, and professional development.

Manage and coordinate tax audits and related communications with tax authorities.

Implement process improvements and best practices across tax operations to enhance service delivery and reduce errors.

Collaborate with internal departments and external clients to provide clear tax guidance and resolve complex tax issues.

Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients and senior management.

Ensure all tax-related activities comply with current laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation changes and their potential impact on clients and the company.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA certification preferred and highly valued.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a tax manager role or as a senior public accountant with tax responsibilities.

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Proven experience in tax return preparation, strategic tax planning, and audit management.

Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage and develop personnel.

Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, maintaining professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
