Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify customer styles and behaviors, adapting your selling approach effectively.

  • Present innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities in your territory.

  • Serve as a credible role model and resource among peers.

  • Build collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix team members.

  • Apply deep scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge to inform sales strategies.

  • Utilize strong business acumen and strategic thinking to drive performance.

  • Operate effectively within a matrix environment, managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet all healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.

  • Drive sales growth in the dermatology therapeutic area.

  • Provide strategic and scientific consultation to healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field preferred.

  • High school diploma/GED with at least five (5) years of relevant industry experience (minimum three years in pharmaceutical/healthcare/science industry) will be considered.

  • Demonstrated track record of sales success and strong presentation skills.

  • Proven sales performance within therapeutic areas (preferred).

  • Experience in commercial pharmaceutical settings such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing (preferred).

  • Ability to identify customer needs and adapt selling approaches accordingly.

  • Recognized leadership capabilities with documented success in roles of increasing responsibility.

  • Strong scientific and therapeutic expertise with competitive knowledge.

  • Excellent business acumen and proficient use of business tools.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

  • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and meet safe driving standards.

  • Compliance with HCIR credentialing requirements.

Salary and Benefits

AbbVie provides a competitive compensation package for this Specialty Representative, Dermatology role. The salary is negotiable and includes a base salary with eligibility for short-term incentives. Working Conditions

This is a full-time, field-based role covering Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, and surrounding areas. The position requires frequent travel to visit healthcare providers and clients.
