Duties and Responsibilities

Perform various on-site labouring tasks to support civil engineering and utility projects.

Confidently direct traffic on live construction sites, utilizing excellent communication skills (including hand signaling).

Maintain a keen awareness of site safety and traffic risks at all times.

Work proactively as a team player while also being effective with minimal supervision.

Adhere to all safety protocols and project requirements.

Operate various equipment and tools safely as required.

Support other team members with tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
Experience Level: This is a specialized role for a professional with a proven track record on civil engineering or utility projects and experience in a similar labouring position.
Education Requirement: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with a strong emphasis on practical experience and essential certifications.
Required Skills:

A valid CSCS Card (Green or above) is essential.

A current Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman Certificate is essential.

Proven track record from civil engineering or utility projects, particularly in the water sector (ideal).

Experience in a similar labouring role.

Experience confidently directing traffic on live construction sites is essential.

Excellent communication skills (including hand signaling).

Physical fitness for manual work.

Keen awareness of site safety and traffic risks.

Reliable, punctual, and proactive team player who can also work effectively with minimal supervision.
