Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage comprehensive service operations, including field service, workshop, and office functions.
- Lead, manage, and support a team of plant engineers and service staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Organize and schedule service work efficiently to maximize productivity and meet customer demands.
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvements to enhance service delivery and profitability.
- Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients and effectively resolving issues.
- Liaise with parts, sales, and technical teams to ensure seamless cross-functional operations.
- Maintain strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Accurately update and log data and information on the IT system, preferably using automotive software packages.
- Report regularly on department performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: This is a Mid- to Senior-Level management role, requiring substantial service/aftersales experience within the HGV, Plant, or Agri machinery sectors.
- Education Requirement: A relevant technical or business qualification is highly beneficial, with a strong emphasis on practical experience in the industry.
- Required Skills:
- Service/Aftersales experience from HGV, Plant, or Agri machinery sectors.
- An excellent manager of people who can get the best out of a team.
- A strong communicator who can deliver great customer service and deal with issues effectively.
- Highly organized and able to drive forward efficiencies to improve operations.
- IT literate, with a preference for experience in automotive software packages.
