Job Overview
Aqua Tech Recruitment is hiring a Service Engineer for a leading provider of high-performance technologies in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Healthcare sectors. This permanent role involves critical service and validation responsibilities on GMP-compliant equipment, with flexible working locations: one field-based in Scotland and the other from the Edinburgh office with international travel. Ideal for professionals experienced in GMP or NHS environments and familiar with FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, and equipment validation processes.
Duties and Responsibilities

Perform Factory & Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT) on sterilizers, washers, and GMP equipment

Execute and document Installation & Operational Qualifications (IQ/OQ)

Carry out planned maintenance, reactive service, and breakdown diagnostics

Install new medical machinery at client sites

Conduct validation activities aligned with HTM2010 and industry standards

Liaise with clients to prepare validation protocols and maintain GMP documentation

Support and mentor junior engineers

Apply knowledge of GxP and validation lifecycle documents (URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ)

Use testing methods: Thermal mapping, Bowie-Dick, Leak rate, Calibration

Desirable familiarity: HTM01-01, EN285, ISO 15883, ALCOA+, PLC/SCADA systems
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in a GMP or NHS environment

City & Guilds HTM2010 Certificate (Washers and Sterilizers) is essential

Strong grasp of validation lifecycle and relevant testing procedures

Ability to work independently in cleanroom/sterile settings

Willingness to travel (UK and internationally)
