Job Overview
Aqua Tech Recruitment, a specialist in engineering recruitment, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Service Engineer for the Life Science sector. This permanent role offers a vital opportunity to join a leading provider of high-performance technologies for the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Healthcare sectors.
This versatile position offers flexible location options—either field-based in Scotland or based out of the Edinburgh office with international travel. You will be responsible for performing FAT/SAT testing, executing IQ/OQ qualifications, conducting planned and reactive maintenance, and supporting validation processes on medical machinery used in sterile environments.
Duties and Responsibilities

Perform FAT/SAT on sterilizers, washers, and GMP equipment.

Execute and document IQ/OQ protocols.

Conduct installations and planned/reactive maintenance on critical machinery.

Deliver validation services aligned with HTM2010 and other standards.

Liaise with clients and prepare validation protocols.

Maintain digital GMP documentation accurately.

Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Operate independently in sterile/cleanroom environments.

Apply knowledge of GxP and validation lifecycle documents.

Conduct Thermal mapping, Bowie-Dick testing, Leak rate testing, and Calibration.

Desirable: Knowledge of HTM01-01, EN285, ISO 15883, ALCOA+, PLC/SCADA systems.
Qualifications

City & Guilds HTM2010 Certificate (Washers and Sterilizers) – required.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a GMP or NHS setting.

Strong understanding of GxP, validation lifecycle (URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ).

Comfortable working independently in cleanroom environments.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Desirable: Familiarity with HTM01-01, EN285, ISO 15883, ALCOA+, PLC/SCADA systems.
