Job Overview

AbbVie, a global leader in the pharmaceutical and technology sectors, is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Platform Enablement to join its Patient Services team in Lake County, IL. This role is central to the design, development, and implementation of technical tools and platforms that enable key capabilities for AbbVie Patient Services and vendor partners.

As a Senior Manager, you will leverage your deep expertise in Salesforce and other enterprise platforms to enhance patient support programs and improve the overall patient experience. This role requires a strong background in platform operations, enterprise program management, and vendor relationship management. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of technical platforms supporting AbbVie Patient Services.

  • Apply 5+ years of experience leading platform operations teams or equivalent enterprise ecosystem support.

  • Utilize strong program/project management expertise to oversee initiatives.

  • Provide cross-functional leadership across patient engagement, hub operations, nursing, marketing, and specialty pharmacy.

  • Drive innovation through in-depth knowledge of Salesforce (MS Dynamics preferred as additional expertise).

  • Serve as a change agent, challenging the status quo and promoting new solutions.

  • Identify risks early, creating mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring accountability and results.

  • Manage system budgets, timelines, and quality control processes.

  • Align resources effectively while maintaining transparency and cross-team buy-in.

  • Explore new opportunities that extend beyond current organizational practices.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.A./B.S. in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years in platform operations leadership or equivalent enterprise ecosystem support.

    • 5+ years in enterprise/portfolio/program/project management.

    • 5+ years across patient services functions (engagement, access, hub operations, nursing, marketing, pharmacy).

  • Technical: Advanced knowledge of Salesforce required; MS Dynamics knowledge preferred.

  • Certifications: PMP certification strongly preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in regulated settings.

    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication.

    • Vendor negotiation and management expertise.

    • Proven ability to drive innovation and act as a change leader.
