Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply 8 years related and proven experience in large technical software development environments to support critical IT applications.
- Provide expert support for Linux (RHEL, Centos) operating systems.
- Leverage strong knowledge of Networking – Architecture (TCP/IP UDP) to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
- Utilize ticketing systems (ServiceNow) for logging customer requests, updates, and managing incidents/problems.
- Work with monitoring systems (Splunk) to proactively identify and address application performance issues.
- Provide comprehensive application management experience for the Atlassian Stack (JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, Bitbucket).
- Apply deep storage knowledge (NFS, SMB, CIFS, ZFS, NAS) for effective data management and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain scripts using scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Shell scripting) for automation and support tasks.
- Support SW Developer tools (IDE, code quality checkers, review tool, etc.), ensuring a productive development environment.
- Manage Infra & Test environment (DevBench) including web tools for Patch and Release functionality.
- Contribute to and ensure adherence to CI/CD knowledge and practices.
- Utilize SVN/Git SCM knowledge for source code management.
- Administer and troubleshoot VMware environments.
- Support HP hardware components and systems.
- Apply strong SW Release management process knowledge to ensure smooth and controlled software deployments.
- Work effectively within an Agile/SAFE way of work methodology.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Function as a highly motivated team player with good social skills and strong service/customer orientation.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear and concise interactions with diverse stakeholders.

- Serve as a Tier 1 / Tier 2 point of contact support for problems/incidents, providing initial and advanced resolution.
- Define and propose improvement proposals for system performance and process efficiency.
- Investigate and implement non-standard changes with limited scope, ensuring controlled modifications.
- Support and take ownership of requests from engineering teams, ensuring their needs are met.
- Ensure all IT standard processes and procedures and Service Level Agreements are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: Senior-Level (8 years related and proven experience).
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineer. Master’s degree a plus.
- Required Skills:
- 8 years related and proven experience in large technical software development environments.
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL, Centos).
