As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be instrumental in building high-quality code (React components, Backstage plug-ins, Cloud APIs), applying your expertise to resolve challenging programming projects in a distributed environment. You will leverage your hands-on experience with web technology stacks, cloud services (AWS, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda), and automation tools to contribute to the design and architecture of secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software, enhancing existing components to improve performance and usability.
- Apply technical expertise to resolve challenging programming projects in a distributed environment.
- Contribute significantly to the design and architecture of secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
- Build high-quality code, including React components, Backstage plug-ins, and Cloud APIs.
- Collaborate effectively with internal engineering teams and stakeholders, fostering a strong team environment.
- Work independently, taking ownership of tasks and projects from conception to completion.
- Mentor or serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, contributing to team growth.
- Solve complex problems that require in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring the reliability and uptime of critical systems.
- Apply 5+ years of experience as a software developer, with 2+ years of production experience building apps on large-scale cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) using services such as ECS, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
- Possess hands-on experience with web technology stacks, JS frameworks (React is a must, Node.js) with Typescript.
- Demonstrate practical experience building RESTful, Micro-services and/or front-end experiences.
- Possess experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Maintain working experience building automation (e.g., Python and Bash) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins and Spinnaker).
- Apply experience with Agile software development practices.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills (proficient in English).
- Be analytic, curious, and perseverant in problem-solving.
- Operate as a self-starter, passionate about learning new technologies.
- Potentially possess Backstage experience and/or plug-in development (a big plus).
- Possess experience using Docker.
- Maintain a deep understanding of object-oriented design and at least one modern backend framework (Java and Python).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: Senior-Level (5+ years overall, 2+ years cloud production experience).
- Education Requirement: BSc / MSc in Computer Science or a related technical field.
