As part of our growth, we’re seeking a Senior Associate, Finance and Accounting to join our finance team in Westwood, MA. This mid-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional eager to make a tangible impact in a clean tech company that’s pushing boundaries in sustainability and energy efficiency.
You will play a key role in bridging technical accounting with operational finance, ensuring our numbers tell a meaningful story and support our mission to transform the global energy landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations across multiple departments.
- Assist in preparing internal and management reports to drive financial insights.
- Collaborate with operational teams to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
- Perform variance analysis and support forecasting efforts.
- Maintain and document business processes and internal control procedures.
- Work with Microsoft Dynamics and Rippling to manage financial systems and data integrity.
- Contribute to audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Provide support on special projects and ad hoc reporting needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
- Mid-level experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong technical and operational accounting knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and Rippling systems.
- Experience with business process documentation and internal control frameworks.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Understanding of general ledger processes, reconciliations, and monthly close cycles.
