Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare company and self-employed tax returns, including CT600 and self-assessment submissions.

Maintain and update accounting records using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and FreeAgent.

Support the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and other financial reports.

Assist senior accountants with audit preparations and client correspondence.

Handle client queries efficiently with excellent communication and professionalism.

Manage multiple accounts while meeting deadlines and maintaining high accuracy.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office applications to analyze data and streamline processes.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and firm policies.
Qualifications

Proven experience working with company and self-employed accounts.

Skilled in preparing tax returns including CT600 and self-assessment.

Proficient in cloud accounting software: Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and FreeAgent.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Time management skills to balance multiple client accounts and deadlines.

Part ACA or ACCA qualified, or AAT qualified with relevant experience.
