Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the information security architecture, design, and implementation efforts for complex systems, leveraging 5+ years of experience.
  • Apply a strong background in security regulations, compliance, and risk management to all security initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of current security programs and define comprehensive future strategies.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs for security program effectiveness) to measure and report on security posture.
  • Design and enforce stringent security policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Ensure full compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT standards.
  • Develop and maintain a robust security architecture framework for the client’s IT landscape.
  • Design strategic security strategies and roadmaps for both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Establish baseline security configurations for various systems and applications.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and test effective incident response plans.
  • Perform forensic investigations when security incidents occur, determining root causes and impact.
  • Integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle (DevOps), promoting a security-first approach.
  • Actively advocate for secure coding standards among development teams.
  • Partner closely with privacy and compliance teams to ensure holistic security and data protection.
  • Develop and deliver impactful security awareness training programs for employees.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of network security, encryption, authentication, and identity management.
  • Possess hands-on experience implementing security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEMs, etc.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills when interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and lead security initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an innovative mindset to overcome complex security challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level (5+ years of experience in information security architecture, design, and implementation).
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Required Skills:
    • 5+ years of experience in information security architecture, design, and implementation.
    • Strong background in security regulations, compliance, and risk management.
    • Proven ability to assess current security programs and define future strategies.
    • Experience developing KPIs for security program effectiveness.
    • Skilled in designing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrated compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT.
    • Ability to develop a security architecture framework.

    • Proficient in establishing baseline security configurations.
