Job Overview

Aqua Tech Recruitment, a specialist in sales recruitment, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive for the Life Science sector. This permanent role offers a vital opportunity to join a supplier of innovative technologies for the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and life sciences sectors.

As a Sales Executive, you will be instrumental in proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities, driving sales of medical consumables and equipment to NHS, private healthcare, and life sciences clients. You’ll leverage your proven track record in medical sales and strong business development skills to manage and grow existing client accounts. This is a field-based role, perfect for a self-starter with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.

  • Drive sales of medical consumables and equipment to NHS, private healthcare, and life sciences clients.

  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, offering tailored product solutions and technical support.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of activity, pipelines, and client interactions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, service, operations) to ensure smooth delivery and aftersales service.

  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.

  • Possess a proven track record in medical sales, ideally within NHS and/or sterile services environments.

  • Demonstrate experience selling technical products or consumables in a regulated industry.

  • Apply strong business development skills, with confidence in cold calling and lead generation.

  • Exhibit excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Be willing to travel across the UK regularly (field-based role).

Qualifications

Experience Level: This is a leadership role for a professional with proven experience in a similar operative position and proven leadership abilities.

Education Requirement: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline is highly beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also highly valued.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record in medical sales, ideally within NHS and/or sterile services environments.

  • Experience selling technical products or consumables in a regulated industry.

  • Strong business development skills with confidence in cold calling and lead generation.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Willingness to travel across the UK regularly (field-based role).

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with GMP environments or decontamination/sterilisation technologies.

  • Experience with selling medical equipment such as fridges, autoclaves, or SMEG washer disinfectors.

  • Understanding of public procurement and NHS purchasing processes.

Salary and Benefits

This permanent role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from £40k – £50k yearly, which is negotiable and based on your experience. Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent role based from home, but it requires extensive travel across the UK to client sites.
