Job Overview
Lidl, a fast-growing global retail company, is looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Shift Manager to join our store team in NG13 8GF. This full-time role is central to delivering operational excellence, inspiring your team, and maintaining outstanding customer service.
In this position, you’ll play a leadership role, especially when the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager are not present. You will oversee key operational areas such as freshness checks, cash handling, and inventory management. This is a hands-on role for someone with proven leadership skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, and a passion for helping others develop their skills.
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support your team in line with Lidl’s Leadership and Company Principles.

Delegate tasks effectively to keep store operations smooth and efficient.

Take full responsibility for the store during your shift when senior management is absent.

Oversee freshness checks, cash procedures, stock control, and inventory management.

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Create and maintain a collaborative, supportive team culture.

Stay calm, patient, and professional in all situations.

Encourage team members to grow and improve both individually and collectively.
Qualifications
Experience Level: Leadership role prior experience managing a team and achieving targets in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with emphasis on practical leadership experience.

Salary and Benefits
