Lidl, a rapidly growing global retail company, is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Shift Manager to join our store team in GL1 5TE. This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead, inspire, and support a team while ensuring the store runs smoothly and maintains Lidl’s high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
As a Retail Shift Manager, you will take charge in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager, handling key operations such as freshness checks, cash processes, and inventory control. This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone with proven team management skills and a passion for developing others in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support your team in line with Lidl’s Leadership and Company Principles.

Delegate tasks effectively and resolve issues promptly to ensure operational efficiency.

Take full responsibility for store operations during your shift when senior management is absent.

Oversee freshness, cash handling, inventory, and stock control.

Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain Lidl’s high standards.

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Drive the team to achieve store targets in a busy retail environment.

Remain calm and professional under pressure.

Qualifications
Experience Level: Leadership role prior experience managing a team and meeting targets in a busy, fast-paced environment is required.
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with emphasis on leadership and practical experience.
