Duties and Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols

Ensure optimal image quality while maintaining patient safety and comfort

Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and address any questions or concerns

Operate radiographic and digital imaging equipment with accuracy and care

Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to support timely and efficient patient care

Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures

Participate in quality assurance efforts, equipment maintenance checks, and department meetings

Assist with scheduling, transporting, or preparing patients as needed
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (registry eligible or certified)

ARRT RT(R) certification required

Oregon Radiologic Technologist license (permanent or temporary) required

BLS certification required and must be kept current throughout employment

Proficient in medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare safety standards

Working knowledge of healthcare IT systems and digital imaging platforms

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment with professionalism and empathy

Prior hospital experience preferred
