As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other learning difficulties. You will leverage your empathy, patience, and passion for supporting students with additional needs to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Duties and Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to students, tailoring assistance to their individual needs.

Assist students with Autism, SEMH, and other learning difficulties to access the curriculum.

Promote independence and support personalized learning strategies.

Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organized space.

Motivate students through enthusiasm and positivity.

Build strong, empathetic relationships with students.
Qualifications

Experience Level: Entry-level (ideal for recent Psychology or related field graduates).

Education: Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Sports Science, Youth and Community Studies, or similar.

Skills:

Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal communication.

Passion for SEN and supporting students with additional needs.

Comfortable providing 1:1 and small group support.

Willingness to apply for an Enhanced DBS if not already held.

Salary and Benefits
This contract role offers a competitive salary of £1,780 – £2,100 per month (based on £89 – £105 per day). In addition, Academics Ltd provides free training, CPD opportunities, and the potential for temp-to-perm contracts to support your long-term career progression.
