Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall coordination, status reporting, and ensure the stability of project-oriented work efforts.
- Develop and update comprehensive project plans and teamwork assignments.
- Direct and monitor work efforts on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Identify resource needs for projects and work to secure necessary personnel and tools.
- Perform meticulous quality review of project deliverables and processes.
- Escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
- Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources as needed to maintain progress.
- Coordinate communication with all relevant Beacon areas that impact project scope, budget, risk, and resources.
- Apply advanced knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
- Perform troubleshooting for various system and application issues.
- Serve as a crucial liaison with user departments, bridging communication between IT and business.
- Provide training to end-users on new or revised systems and applications.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance for implemented solutions.
- Maintain system security in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the efforts of the Memorial Health System Information Systems (IS) Department.
- Determine customer needs and develop overall project implementation plans for large, complex projects.
- Consult and provide recommendations for system design issues, ensuring optimal solutions.
- Ensure that projects reach milestones following predetermined timelines through effective leadership and communication.
- Participate in creating estimated project timelines, resources, costs, and ROI analyses for priority-setting.
- Provide clear project status reporting at project steering committees.
- Work with vendors and customers to create detailed project steps/tasks, determine and secure necessary resources, develop and update timelines, and track project progress.
- Provide ongoing communication and coordination between all project participants, including frequent updates to IS Management and customers.
- Prepare system requirements, project management documentation, and plans.
- Participate in preparing the project budget and manage projects within budget.
- Organize and ensure proper software installation and the creation of an appropriate testing environment.
- Coordinate training for customers on new systems and applications.
- Advise customers on the procedures and operations of new/revised systems.
- Serve as technical support for resolving operational issues and questions not addressed by department-based resources.
- Ensure successful transition of ongoing application support to appropriate IS staff and customers.
- Guide the development of policies and procedures as necessary for new systems.
- Facilitate the documentation of workflow, system decisions, and system designs and procedures.
- Ensure extensive application software testing and coordinate end-user testing.
- Report, track, obtain, and test resolutions for all identified problems.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times, communicating courteously and responsively.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with end-user departments.
- Maintain records, reports, and and files as required by departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of Department facilities, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications
- Experience Level: Mid-Level (requires “strong organizational and project management skills and experience” and “extensive experience with software system setups”).
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, IS, another appropriate field, or equivalent experience.
