We’re seeking a highly versatile and ambitious Principal Product Engineer – Americas to join our fully remote team, spanning from North to South America. As a Principal Product Engineer, you’ll thrive at the intersection of product and technology, wearing hats traditionally worn by product and design, from researching competitors and writing product specs to making wireframes. You’ll leverage your deep proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and other modern web technologies to build reusable building blocks across the stack and tackle any part of our technology stack. Duties and Responsibilities
- Ship features end-to-end at a high pace, taking ownership over a large portion of one of Ashby’s products.
- Own projects end-to-end, embracing responsibilities traditionally handled by product and design, including researching competitors, writing product specs, and making wireframes.
- Tackle any part of our technology stack, demonstrating versatility across front-end and back-end systems.
- Apply Proficiency in TypeScript (frontend & backend), Node.js, React, Apollo GraphQL, Postgres, and Redis.
- Leverage a love of typed languages to build robust and maintainable code (helpful).
- Act as a versatile, persistent engineer, able to set up reusable building blocks across the stack.
- Advocate for the time and space to do foundational work, ensuring long-term system health.
- Demonstrate experience with projects involving significant product and technical ambiguity, navigating uncertainty effectively.
- Thrive at the intersection of product and technology, blending both disciplines seamlessly.
- Strike the right balance between speed and quality in all development efforts.
- Be ambitious and always look to improve your skills, fostering continuous learning.
- Be open to feedback (and actively give it) to foster a collaborative environment.

Ashby offers a highly competitive annual salary for this Full-time Principal Product Engineer – Americas position. The salary ranges vary by level and region: USA: Level 5: $200K – $230K yearly Level 6: $200K – $260K yearly
