Duties and Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and registration processes efficiently and accurately

Collect and verify patient demographic, insurance, and medical information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards

Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other administrative tools

Provide clear communication to patients regarding their appointments, paperwork, and facility policies

Address patient inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and empathy

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate data entry and smooth patient flow

Maintain organized records and documentation according to healthcare regulations and Samaritan Health Services policies

Adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations calmly and effectively

Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, and faxing as needed
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in healthcare or medical administration is preferred

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
