Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install various mechanical components, including pipework, valves, pumps, and motors.

  • Perform thorough planned maintenance checks to ensure system reliability and longevity.

  • Undertake assigned activities efficiently and effectively under supervision.

  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and industry best practices.

  • Stay informed about new mechanical and piping legislation, ensuring your work remains compliant.

  • Ensure all work is completed to appropriate levels of safety, quality, and cost.

  • Take proper care of all safety equipment and tools, maintaining their operational integrity.

  • Work on a construction site, which may involve working in cramped conditions or at height.

  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

Qualifications

Experience Level: Proven experience in the water industry as a Mechanical Fitter.
Education Requirement:

  • CSCS Card

  • Confined Space Medium Risk Certification

Required Skills:

  • CSCS Card

  • Confined Space Medium Risk Certification

  • Proven experience within the water industry

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required

  • Strong commitment to health and safety

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the team’s purpose

  • Proven ability in installing various mechanical components (pipework, valves, pumps, motors)

  • Skilled in performing planned maintenance checks

Desirable:
