As a Maths Teacher, you’ll be instrumental in planning and delivering a dynamic curriculum, teaching up to and including IB Standard Level or A Level Maths. This position is ideal for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to develop their skills and potentially take on leadership responsibilities like a Key Stage Coordinator or 2nd in Department role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons across various levels, including Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE.
- Teach up to and including IB Standard Level or A Level Maths, demonstrating strong subject mastery.
- Inspire students and foster a love for Mathematics, making the subject relevant and accessible.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and extra-curricular offers.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the school.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: Open to all levels of experience, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
- Education Requirement: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Required Skills:
- A Mathematics specialist.
- Ability to teach up to and including IB Standard Level or A Level Maths.
- Enthusiasm for teaching Maths.
- Experience with Key Stage 5 (A Level or IB) is an advantage.
- Potential to take on a Key Stage Coordinator or 2nd in Department role.
