Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage the business operations and activities of assigned medical group(s).
- Ensure patient-centered and efficient operations across all clinic functions, including nursing care, lab, radiology, and reception.
- Maintain good public relations with patients, families, visitors, and the broader community.
- Take responsibility for registration and billing functions, computer scheduling, and associated staff training.
- Handle day-to-day operational issues for physicians, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Establish and implement clear goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for efficient clinic operation.
- Analyze and recommend changes in systems, procedures, and policies to improve workflow and efficiencies.
- Develop, revise, and promote objectives in line with BMG (Beacon Medical Group) annual goals.
- Provide BMG Administration with accurate financial and statistical information.
- Participate in the development and implementation of plans and budgets; monitor and control expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Monitor fees and reimbursement for services; assist in revising and implementing changes as needed.
- Oversee appropriate compliance of insurance and billing procedures, including CPT & ICD-9 & 10 coding, managed care compliance, collection of fees, and verification of demographic/billing information.
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Work closely with physicians, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
- Review patient satisfaction surveys and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Participate in management team meetings and CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) team projects.
- Coordinate activities of all staff and effectively delegate responsibilities.
- Ensure adherence to BMG policies and procedures by all team members.
- Maintain overall responsibility for scheduling across the practice.
- Encourage and follow proper communication channels within the clinic.
- Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and quiet environment; monitor physical property and oversee maintenance.
- Ensure adequate supplies and equipment; oversee purchasing and payables.
- Conduct regular unit meetings to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Provide patient instruction as needed.
- Coordinate educational programs for students rotating through the clinic.
- Manage building systems by coordinating vendor activities for maintenance and repairs.
- Establish and maintain patient medical record systems, transcription, scheduling, and telephone communication.
- Be responsible for the selection and termination of employees (under Director’s supervision); evaluate performance and administer disciplinary actions.
- Assist in the development of staff, fostering professional growth.
- Effectively communicate benefit programs, personnel policies, and practices to staff.
- Encourage the integration of the clinic with the community, supporting outreach efforts.
- Monitor community needs, identifying opportunities for service expansion or improvement.
- Coordinate efforts in physician recruitment and new physician orientation.
- Complete other job-related assignments and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience Level: Mid-Level (3+ years supervisory/management and 3-5 years physician practice experience required).
- Education Requirement: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in business or a healthcare field with subsequent licensure preferred.
- Required Skills:

- Minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience.
- Three-five years of experience in a physician practice (healthcare) required.
- Expert clinical knowledge of procedures, observations, treatments, techniques, and healthcare administration practices utilized at the clinic.
- Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulation requirements and organization policies, procedures, and systems, including knowledge of computer systems and applications.
- Well-developed managerial skills necessary to plan, organize, and manage business operations and activities of the clinic.
- Well-developed leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate well with a variety of patients, family members, visitors, clinic staff, physicians, public, and external agencies in a professional manner.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (required).
