Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms according to established protocols and physician orders

  • Operate mammography equipment with precision to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort

  • Conduct patient interviews and screenings, explaining procedures clearly and addressing concerns with empathy

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and all safety standards, including radiation protection guidelines

  • Document patient information and imaging results accurately in electronic health record systems

  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Manage workflow efficiently while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting

  • Obtain and maintain ARRT Post Primary Certification in Mammography within one year of hire

  • Participate in quality assurance and continuing education initiatives to uphold clinical excellence

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT RT(R) credential

  • Valid Oregon Radiologic Technology License

  • Ability to obtain ARRT Post Primary Certification in Mammography within 1 year of hire

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification

  • Preferred experience includes performing at least 200 mammograms within the previous calendar year

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient records, and HIPAA compliance

  • Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach

  • Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and provide compassionate customer service

  • Proven ability to manage stress and multitask effectively in a clinical environment
