Job Overview

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Mammography Lead to join our diagnostic imaging team in Lincoln City, Oregon. As a key player in our radiologic technology department, you will lead the mammography services by ensuring high standards of patient care, technical accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the mammography team to deliver accurate, safe, and timely breast imaging services.

• Perform mammography exams adhering to ARRT, Oregon state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.

• Ensure all mammography equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operated safely according to established protocols.

• Review imaging results for quality assurance and support diagnostic accuracy.

• Provide patient education and compassionate care throughout the imaging process.

• Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation within the mammography department.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, promoting professional development.

• Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies, including state licensure and accreditation standards.

• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

• Implement process improvements and uphold best practices in diagnostic imaging.

• Document procedures, incidents, and patient records accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT RT(R) credential required.

• ARRT Mammography (M) credential mandatory.

• Active Oregon Radiologic Technology license.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mammographer with supervisory responsibilities in a hospital or clinical setting.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology related to breast imaging and patient care.

• Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

• Experience with equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and quality assurance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and patient interaction.
