Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the mammography team to deliver accurate, safe, and timely breast imaging services.

Perform mammography exams adhering to ARRT, Oregon state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.

Ensure all mammography equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operated safely according to established protocols.

Review imaging results for quality assurance and support diagnostic accuracy.

Provide patient education and compassionate care throughout the imaging process.

Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation within the mammography department.

Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, promoting professional development.

Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies, including state licensure and accreditation standards.

Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Implement process improvements and uphold best practices in diagnostic imaging.

Document procedures, incidents, and patient records accurately and timely.
Qualifications

Current ARRT RT(R) credential required.

ARRT Mammography (M) credential mandatory.

Active Oregon Radiologic Technology license.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mammographer with supervisory responsibilities in a hospital or clinical setting.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of medical terminology related to breast imaging and patient care.

Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Experience with equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
