Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate mammography operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

Supervise and support mammography technologists, fostering professional development and teamwork

Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including ARRT, Oregon Radiologic Technology licensing, and HIPAA policies

Maintain accurate records of patient data, imaging results, and quality assurance documentation

Collaborate with radiologists, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and service delivery

Manage project timelines and team assignments to meet departmental goals and improve clinical outcomes

Address patient concerns with empathy, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the imaging process

Oversee continuing education and training to maintain team certifications, including Healthcare Provider BLS

Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions to enhance workflow and safety

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to policy development within the imaging department
Qualifications

ARRT RT(R) credential required

Valid Oregon Radiologic Technology License

ARRT Mammography Certification or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a mammographer

Preferred experience in supervisory roles within healthcare settings

Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Strong leadership skills including team management and project coordination

Excellent communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology, patient records, and HIPAA compliance
