Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate mammography operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

  • Supervise and support mammography technologists, fostering professional development and teamwork

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including ARRT, Oregon Radiologic Technology licensing, and HIPAA policies

  • Maintain accurate records of patient data, imaging results, and quality assurance documentation

  • Collaborate with radiologists, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and service delivery

  • Manage project timelines and team assignments to meet departmental goals and improve clinical outcomes

  • Address patient concerns with empathy, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the imaging process

  • Oversee continuing education and training to maintain team certifications, including Healthcare Provider BLS

  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions to enhance workflow and safety

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to policy development within the imaging department

Qualifications

  • ARRT RT(R) credential required

  • Valid Oregon Radiologic Technology License

  • ARRT Mammography Certification or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a mammographer

  • Preferred experience in supervisory roles within healthcare settings

  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification

  • Strong leadership skills including team management and project coordination

  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology, patient records, and HIPAA compliance

  • Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and provide outstanding customer service

  • Proven problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • B.S. Degree preferred or equivalent education in a related field
