Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles with a Valid Class A CDL (No Automatic Only Endorsement), transporting vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a current and valid DOT physical and adhere to all DOT regulations.
• Accurately complete ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) to maintain detailed logs of working hours.
• Operate both automatic and manual transmissions proficiently.
• Utilize online payroll systems for accurate time and attendance tracking.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting trailer ramps, chains, binders, cribbing, and batteries as required for vehicle securement.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks, including topping off fluids and climbing on trucks for inspection and loading/unloading.
• Demonstrate willingness to fly commercially for repositioning or specific assignments.
• Be available for occasional overnights and work occasional weekends as business needs dictate.
• Strictly obey all traffic laws and Federal DOT rules and regulations.
• Ensure all mechanical issues are corrected promptly by reporting them and following up on repairs.
• Maintain trucks to both DOT and Indiana Auto Auction standards, ensuring optimal operational condition.
• Work effectively outside in all weather conditions, adapting to environmental factors.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and securely onto transport trailers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues.

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Possess a Valid Class A CDL (No Automatic Only Endorsement).
  • Hold a current and valid DOT physical.
