Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-quality front-end solutions with advanced proficiency in HTML, SASS/LESS (CSS), and JavaScript.
  • Work within an experienced microservice architecture, understanding how front-end components interact with back-end services.
  • Utilize GIT/Github/Bitbucket for version control and collaborative development.
  • Drive development efforts leveraging React and Next.js development experience to build performant and scalable web applications.
  • Apply Node.js development experience for server-side rendering and API integration where applicable.
  • Integrate front-end applications with APIs using GraphQL or REST API development (preferred).
  • Utilize build automation tools like GULP/Webpack (preferred) to optimize development workflows.
  • Accurately translate UI specifications from design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Work with JSTL Tag Libraries and perform advanced jQuery development where legacy systems or specific requirements dictate.
  • Leverage front-end frameworks like Foundation 6 to build responsive layouts.
  • Collaborate effectively using the Atlassian Toolset (Jira/Confluence) for project tracking, documentation, and team communication.
  • Apply direct eCommerce experience (preferred) to understand and address specific challenges of digital retail platforms.
  • Maintain basic to intermediate knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and various development tools.
  • Analyze and define complex business requirements to inform technical solutions.
  • Actively contribute to coding and implementing solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide valuable input on unit and functional test plans to ensure solution quality.
  • Collaborate with 3rd parties for troubleshooting and design collaboration on integrated systems.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and documentation to foster team growth and maintain project clarity.
  • Perform bug fixing and develop robust new product features iteratively.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: Mid-Level (At least 2-4 years’ experience in J2EE or JAVA or equivalent, implies similar experience for front-end focus).
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Computer Science or IT related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in HTML, SASS/LESS (CSS), and JavaScript.
    • Experienced in microservice architecture.
    • Proficient with GIT/Github/Bitbucket repository experience.
    • Strong React and Next.js development experience.
    • Solid Node.js development experience.
    • Experience with GraphQL or REST API development (preferred).
    • Familiarity with GULP/Webpack (preferred).
    • Proven ability to reference UI specifications in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
    • Experience with JSTL Tag Libraries.
    • Advanced jQuery development.
    • Knowledge of Foundation 6.
