Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary user experience leader for Building Design products within the AEC division.
- Define actionable strategies that unify business, technology, and customer priorities, ensuring a cohesive design vision.
- Clarify important business issues and outcomes, translating them into clear design objectives.
- Own system-level experience architecture, driving broad product strategy and its implementation.
- Drive the implementation of new processes and standards for systems thinking across organizations.
- Lead initiatives to drive design cohesion, unification, and modernization across all AEC initiatives.
- Exhibit collaborative leadership across multiple functions and broad-reaching cross-product initiatives.
- Partner with design managers to build high-performing teams and continuously evolve design practices.
- Provide comprehensive mentorship and coaching for other designers on complex and critical projects.
- Engage executive leadership and the organization with impactful Information Architecture thought leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, executive stakeholders, designers, engineers, and product managers throughout the design lifecycle.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in experience design.
- Apply 15+ years’ experience in user experience design or related field.
- Possess expertise in human-centered design, information architecture, user research, and design systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to advocate for a shared design vision that aligns with customer and business priorities with diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Exhibit mastery of effective communication and storytelling strategies.
- Possess extensive facilitation experience to choose design thinking principles and processes with clear outcomes.
- Be recognized both internally and externally for mastery of information architecture theory, practice, research methodologies, and strategies.

- Have experience in creating influential relationships within and across product groups.
- Perform a very advanced expert role providing advice relevant to subject matter expertise to senior leaders.

- Education Requirement: Relevant experience or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is typically required.
