Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative oversight and direction for assigned hospital services at Elkhart General Hospital.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align with hospital and system-wide goals.
- Maintain a departmental and institutional perspective in all decision-making and planning.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion, process improvement, and operational excellence across assigned areas.
- Facilitate crucial collaboration across Beacon Health System locations, ensuring integrated and consistent operations.
- Direct operational and financial planning for assigned service areas, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic alignment.
- Balance department-level financial management with enterprise-level strategy to optimize resource utilization.
- Oversee and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for intervention.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
- Develop strong partnerships with hospital leadership, department heads, and service teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Encourage administrators to act as mediators, facilitators, and champions for innovation.
- Work closely with system leadership, external partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department leaders, cultivating their skills and fostering professional growth.
- Call for mentoring and coaching staff to develop their leadership and management skills, supporting succession planning.
- Encourage leaders to model and promote operational excellence throughout their teams.

- Apply a Bachelor’s degree (required) in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree (preferred) in a similar discipline.

- Must maintain any pertinent applicable certifications and licenses.

Qualifications
