Job Overview

Samaritan Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Dietary-Culinary Aide to join our food service team in Lincoln City, Oregon. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, portioning, and plating meals according to dietary specifications and safety standards.

  • Serve food and beverages to patients, visitors, and staff with a focus on courtesy and efficiency.

  • Set up and maintain cleanliness of food stations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment.

  • Follow proper food handling procedures, including temperature control and sanitation.

  • Stock supplies, label food items, and assist in inventory as directed.

  • Maintain accurate records as required by department procedures and health regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff regarding meal preferences or dietary needs.

  • Support teammates during peak hours or special events and adapt to changing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers, slicers, etc.).

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Oregon Food Handler Certificate required within 30 days of hire.

  • Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required training provided.

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and cleaning chemicals.
