Job Overview
Elysium Healthcare, a leading provider of mental health services, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Dunnock View in Clacton-on-Sea. Duties and Responsibilities

Support the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team to deliver high-quality care to residents with various mental health conditions.

Provide clinical leadership and act as a resource for the team.

Supervise staff and serve as a positive role model, setting high standards of care.

Collaborate with the Senior Nurse and Ward Manager to coordinate the on-call service and manage ward budgets.

Maintain and improve care standards within the Clinical Governance framework.

Effectively utilise and supervise all nursing staff to optimise patient outcomes.

Take charge of the ward in the Ward Manager’s absence.

Foster a safe, therapeutic, and compassionate environment for all service users.

Comply with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and company policies.
Qualifications

Relevant nursing qualification and current NMC registration.

Proven leadership experience in a similar healthcare environment.

Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.

Positive attitude with a naturally caring and compassionate nature.

Skilled in staff supervision, governance compliance, and operational management.

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal care.

Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
