Samaritan Health Services is seeking a dedicated CT Special Imaging Tech to join our diagnostic imaging team in Corvallis, Oregon. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging and specialized diagnostic procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols

  • Operate computed tomography equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images

  • Complete patient screenings and prepare patients of diverse ages and backgrounds for imaging procedures with professionalism and empathy

  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards

  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

  • Document imaging results and maintain accurate patient records in electronic health systems

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks

  • Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions and alleviating anxieties regarding imaging procedures

  • Obtain and maintain required certifications within designated timelines (ARRT RT(R) and ARRT CT)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT RT(R) credential, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Commitment to obtain ARRT (CT) credential within 1 year of hire

  • Valid Oregon Radiologic Technology license

  • Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Thorough knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical safety protocols

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to adapt and provide sensitive care to patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups

  • Previous experience in diagnostic imaging preferred but not required
