Job Overview

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CT Special Imaging Tech to join our medical imaging team in Lincoln City, Oregon. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols

  • Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure

  • Operate CT equipment and related technology to capture high-quality diagnostic images

  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any signs of distress

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures, equipment use, and patient data

  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to ensure diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency

  • Comply with HIPAA guidelines and uphold patient confidentiality at all times

  • Adhere to safety standards and infection control practices in all aspects of imaging and patient care

  • Participate in on-call rotation as assigned, including evenings, weekends, or holidays

  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality; report issues promptly to technical support

Qualifications

  • Certification: ARRT RT(R) and ARRT (CT)

  • Licensure: Current Oregon Radiologic Technologist License

  • CPR: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

  • Experience: Hospital experience preferred; new graduates with a temporary license will be considered

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and radiologic best practices

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and clinical teams

  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-pressure or emergency situations

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate diagnostic results

  • Adherence to HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards

Working Conditions

The role requires occasional lifting, standing for long periods, and assisting patients with mobility. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, or on-call shifts, may be required.
