Duties and Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols

Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure

Operate CT equipment and related technology to capture high-quality diagnostic images

Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any signs of distress

Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures, equipment use, and patient data

Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to ensure diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency

Comply with HIPAA guidelines and uphold patient confidentiality at all times

Adhere to safety standards and infection control practices in all aspects of imaging and patient care

Participate in on-call rotation as assigned, including evenings, weekends, or holidays

Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality; report issues promptly to technical support
Qualifications

Certification: ARRT RT(R) and ARRT (CT)

Licensure: Current Oregon Radiologic Technologist License

CPR: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

Experience: Hospital experience preferred; new graduates with a temporary license will be considered

Knowledge of medical terminology and radiologic best practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and clinical teams

Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-pressure or emergency situations

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate diagnostic results

Working Conditions
This position is based on-site in Lincoln City, Oregon at a Samaritan Health Services facility. You will be working in a hospital environment using advanced CT imaging equipment and collaborating with physicians, radiologists, and nurses.
