Job Overview
Gi Group, a leading global recruitment company, is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Credit Controller to join our team in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This permanent role is open to both experienced credit control professionals and those seeking their first role in finance.
You will play a key role in managing debt collection, resolving payment queries, and maintaining positive client relationships. The position offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to split your week between the office and home, in a supportive and professional environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

Manage debt collection and resolve payment queries efficiently.

Issue invoices according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy.

Ensure all payments are collected within agreed payment terms.

Escalate issues promptly to relevant parties.

Issue credit notes or amended invoices to correct billing discrepancies.

Record all client communications thoroughly in company systems.

Build strong relationships with customers and internal Operational Teams.

Liaise with the cash allocator for accurate and timely payment allocation.

Document relevant customer processes and procedures.

Adhere strictly to departmental policies.
Qualifications
Experience Level: Open to candidates with prior credit control experience or those starting their finance career.
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; IT and finance skills advantageous.
Required Skills:

Good basic IT knowledge and intermediate Excel skills.
