Job Overview
Elysium Healthcare, a leading provider of specialist mental health services, is seeking an experienced and motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team at St Mary’s Hospital in Warrington. This permanent, part-time role offers the opportunity to provide expert psychiatric care to patients with complex mental health needs and neurocognitive problems, working within a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary environment.
You will leverage your CCT and MRCPsych qualifications to lead in diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation, while fostering a positive team ethos. Duties and Responsibilities

Provide specialist psychiatric care to patients with complex mental health needs and neurocognitive problems.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver high-quality patient care.

Lead on patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and review.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical documentation.

Foster a positive and collaborative team ethos.

Stay current with best practices in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, or psychiatry of learning disability.

Participate in clinical supervision and regular team meetings.

Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

MRCPsych or equivalent.

CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, or psychiatry of learning disability.

Full GMC registration with a recent appraisal (within the last 12 months).

Section 12 (2) approval and AC status.

Experience working in an MDT environment, providing care for patients with complex needs.

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Interest in clinical neuropsychiatry with higher qualifications and training (desirable).

Experienced candidates not on the specialist register but with AC status will be considered.
