Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Computer Science lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Teach both computer science theory and programming, with a focus on practical application.
- Utilize your expertise in Python or another programming language (experience preferred but not essential) to deliver hands-on coding sessions.
- Actively contribute to the development of a new pre-GCSE qualification, shaping its content and structure.
- Inspire students and foster a love for Computer Science, making the subject relevant and accessible.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Computer Science department and across the school.
- Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular offers.
- Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment that encourages curiosity and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: Open to all levels of experience, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
- Education Requirement: Qualified Teacher Status (UK) or an equivalent qualification is required for this teaching role.

Salary and Benefits
This permanent, part-time role offers a competitive annual salary that is a pro-rata amount based on the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) range of £33k – £52k yearly. This means your actual salary will be proportional to your 50% loading.
