As a Client Accountant, you’ll play a central role in delivering tailored financial services to a diverse range of clients. Duties and Responsibilities

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with FRS 102, 102 1A, and FRS 105 standards.

File corporation tax returns, handle compliance, and provide guidance on tax planning.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and trust.

Review and oversee work prepared by junior accountants, providing mentorship and quality assurance.

Liaise directly with HMRC, auditors, and other external stakeholders on behalf of clients.

Support new client onboarding, including needs assessments and data integration.

Continuously assess and improve internal processes to enhance efficiency and client service.
Qualifications

ACCA or ACA qualified (essential).

Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients within a practice or advisory setting.

Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations, particularly FRS 102, 102 1A, and 105.

Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporate tax returns.

Confident communicator with the ability to build long-term client relationships.

Comfortable leading and mentoring junior team members.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency with accounting and tax software systems and Microsoft Office suite.
