Job Overview
Gi Group, a leading global recruitment company, is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver for a packaging client in Aston, Birmingham. This ongoing temporary role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic Transport and Logistics environment, delivering packaging to both national and local destinations.
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for 2–5 drops per day, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining high standards of professionalism. This role requires a valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence, Driver CPC, and DIGI card, alongside strong geographical knowledge and a flexible, resilient attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities

Operate a Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently.

Perform 2–5 drops per day for both national and local deliveries.

Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate logs.

Adhere to tight schedules while upholding safety standards.

Utilise strong geographical knowledge to ensure timely deliveries.

Communicate effectively with the depot and logistics personnel.

Undertake occasional handballing when required.

Maintain a professional and upbeat demeanour at all times.
Qualifications
Experience Level: Previous Class 2 driving experience with practical industry knowledge.
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with relevant driving qualifications.
Required Skills:

HGV Class 2 (C) licence, Driver CPC, and DIGI card.

Maximum of 6 SP (speeding) points, with no other endorsements.

Willingness to work day shifts, with AM starts (05:00–07:00).

Strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility.

Ability to work to tight schedules and maintain safety.

Willingness to assist with handballing as needed.
