Duties and Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks (preferred) or other industry-standard software.

Design automotive components and assemblies in line with engineering specifications and manufacturing requirements.

Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize designs for cost, efficiency, and performance.

Modify and update existing CAD models and technical drawings as needed.

Interpret technical data, design briefs, and manufacturing documentation to ensure accurate outputs.

Assist in material selection and manufacturing process decisions based on design requirements.

Prepare and maintain technical drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and documentation for production and quality teams.

Participate in design reviews, prototyping activities, and feedback sessions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Design, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in a CAD Engineer or Design Engineer role within the automotive or engineering industry.

Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software; SolidWorks experience is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes (e.g., metal forming, injection molding, machining).

Knowledge of material properties relevant to automotive components (e.g., metals, polymers, composites).

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
