Duties and Responsibilities

Act as an approachable and reliable role model, building robust and effective relationships with students.

Work with children who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors.

Use restorative approaches to guide students toward positive outcomes and personal growth.

Provide consistency and equip children with the tools they need to feel safe, secure, and empowered.

Remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict, acting as a steady and reassuring presence.

Identify potential risks and needs in students, escalating where necessary to ensure their well-being.

Collaborate with other staff to support the academic and personal development of students.

Actively contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment, helping to foster motivation and enthusiasm in students.

Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience Level: Entry-level, open to graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology.
Education Requirement: A graduate degree in Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology is considered an ideal qualification for this role, though relevant experience may also be considered.

Salary and Benefits
This role offers a monthly salary ranging from £1,800 – £2,200, depending on experience and the specific assignment.
