Job Overview
Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Air Conditioning Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Norwich, Norfolk. This role is with one of our reputable clients in the HVAC and Building Services sector, offering long-term stability and career growth.
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a variety of air conditioning systems, including split, multi-split, VRV, and VRF units. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with at least five years of field experience and an F-Gas Certification to take the next step in their HVAC career.
Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of air conditioning systems including split, multi-split, VRV, and VRF systems.

Respond to reactive maintenance calls efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

Complete inspections, testing, and commissioning of new and existing installations.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with F-Gas regulations and health and safety standards.

Liaise with clients on-site in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

Maintain accurate job records and service documentation using company systems.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and support staff to ensure high service delivery standards.

Participate in occasional out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
Qualifications

F-Gas Certification is required for this role.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in servicing and repairing a wide range of air conditioning systems.

Valid UK Driving License – this is a mobile role covering the Norfolk region.

Preferred: NVQ / City & Guilds in Air Conditioning or equivalent vocational qualification.

Preferred: Knowledge or experience working with heat pump systems.

Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, field-based role based out of Norwich, Norfolk. The typical schedule runs Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime or on-call duty depending on client needs. You will be equipped with a company vehicle, tools, and all necessary safety gear. The work environment varies from commercial to residential settings and may involve working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
